I was off to meet a friend of mine who is an EMT for a Seattle Ambulance service. She has an interesting job, saving lives every day. Every time we get together she tells me some amazing story: a car accident, a HWY birth or an elderly person who's time had come. It always makes me think about our time here, of how amazing we all are to survive and how one little decision can change your whole life. Most of the folks on the fourth floor seemed to be waiting for nursing home or hospice space to open up, but not all made it. 13	Greg Decoteau http://web.mac.com/gregdecoteau	The Only Day We Know - "The Only Day We Know",  was inspired by a colleague who lost her daughter to a tragic car accident and she was so distraught about the evening her daughter died.  She didn't say goodbye to her or tell her she loved her because she was not happy about  the reason she went out or the company she was with that night and it haunts her still. She told me if she had only known it was the last time they would speak, there were so many things she would have said.	5:48 Sample
14	Lorrie Guthrie	She Walks With Weary Eyes - She Walks With Weary Eyes was inspired by a photograph I saw of my grandmother and her brood of 13 children on their front lawn, waiting for the photographer to take the perfect picture.  Her eyes looked so tired, that the song title came immediately. As it took on life, it became a multi-generational song:  grandmother to my mother, to me and finally to my daughter.  It is a song built on love and pain, and grows to hopefulness for a better life for each successive generation.	4:02 Sample

It is about how people can go through a rough time and know first hand that they can be ignored and fade into the crowd. Then there is the realization that they can easily ignore others' needs. The inspiration is from my time spent at Elliot Hospital playing in the hallways while on scholarship with the Music for Healing and Transition Program, and playing for my dad at U Mass Medical Hospital before he passed away last spring.
