Caring Rides

Are you no longer able to drive and have trouble getting to doctor appointments and the grocery store? Are friends or relatives nearby to help? Are taxis or ride services too expensive?

Caring Rides is a volunteer-driven program that provides free rides to medical appointments, dialysis appointments, the eye doctor, dentist, grocery store and more.

To receive services, you must be age 62+ or have a doctor-verified disability. Certain income thresholds may apply.

“Having someone give me a ride to the doctor is life-changing. The Caring Rides volunteers not only provide me with the help I can't find elsewhere, they become my friends. Their compassion and kindness count so much when there are few people who truly understand us.”

Judy, Caring Rides client.

Caring Rides does far more than get you to vital appointments:

  • Increases your social connection and levels of independence.
  • Helps avoid common feelings of isolation and loneliness.
  • Maintains access to medical needs, food and other essentials key to their physical health, emotional well-being and overall quality of life.
  • Age in a dignified manner inside your home for as long as possible.
