A Letter from the President
Greetings from The CareGivers, Inc! Thank you for taking a moment to visit our website and get a glimpse of what we’re all about. I often think The CareGivers is like a piece of fabric. Over the past 25 years so many threads have been woven into a strong, functional, diverse and beautiful tapestry. Our mission of helping the frail, elderly and disabled maintain their independence and dignity is the common thread running throughout it – intricately formed and supported by the thousands of clients and volunteers that have added to this work of art over the years! Whether helping a client get to their doctors appointment, get groceries into their home, or have a break from their isolation, volunteers truly are the piece that “holds it all together.” Our steadfast advocates, funders, Board and staff weave strength and support into the fabric as well. Ever responsive to the changing needs of the vulnerable people we serve, The CareGivers is there, free of charge; expanding the material, tending to frayed edges, continually reinforcing it. Everyone brings their unique and formative thread to the mission. The beauty of it all is how the threads all come together to strengthen our communities.
